Hello! I'm a medical student at UC Davis School of Medicine. I am also a recent graduate in Global Disease Biology at UC Davis and originally transferred from Mission College!
In my spare time, I love organizing alongside my peers to problem-solve, mentoring and teaching peers, going hiking, and much more. I also love teasing spending time with my family, criticizing movies and TV shows with my younger sister, gardening, storytelling, and playing overly complicated board games.
As a part of my practicum project, I researched women's experiences with childbirth and psychological trauma in clinical settings in an effort to bring more attention to people's diverse experiences in healthcare settings.
Feel free to browse my Instagram! My sister and I have a Youtube channel. And this is my Linkedin.
Outside of academics, I'm involved in a number of different organizations, with a focus on public health and education (and education reforms). The following are a few of my current and recent involvements.
Social Services Coordinator and Wellness Ambassador at Bayanihan Clinic
Co-Founder and Co-Primary Investigator of the Global Perspectives Initiative
Co-Developer and Instructor of an Asian American Studies course at UC Davis
Policy Coordinator at Free the Period California
Undergraduate Representative in the UC Davis College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee

As the rest of my website already emphasizes, I love photography! As with all things, I'm still always learning and growing; my main interests are nature and wildlife photography, though I dabble in taking portraits of friends and family. I can't get enough of nature and visiting a wide assortment of places.
I also enjoy playing badminton with family, teasing my dog, and (attempting) painting and various other creative endeavors.
I am very passionate about public health, medicine, and advocacy. In particular I enjoy taking a critical lens to the role of medicine in society and how patient care can be improved at the patient-provider level.
I wanted to acknowledge my incredible family and friends who have supported me at every step of the way, through every hardship and obstacle. There aren't enough words that I could write to stress the level of love and appreciation I have for everyone who has and continues to help me grow and learn.
